Coronavirus response

We continue to closely follow the advice of the NSW government and will accept bookings accordingly.

For our business, the pandemic comes on top of recent catastrophic fires to the south and west of us followed by media reporting of heavy rains and floods that have kept visitor numbers down this year. We want to reassure you that the Jervis Bay region was not directly affected by the fires or the floods.  There has been no damage and the environment around the bay is pristine.

 


 

New bookings

All bookings are now being accepted.  Thank you for your support.

If circumstances change and you are prevented from travelling to Jervis Bay due to government directives, we will move your dates or allow you a guest credit for a future stay.  We won’t charge you any fees

 


 

Existing bookings

In most cases our cancellation policy is now being enforced as free travel within NSW is permitted.

If circumstances change and you are prevented from travelling to Jervis Bay due to government directives, we will move your dates or allow you a guest credit for a future stay.  We won’t charge you any fees.  This will apply in instances such as:

  • Jervis Bay is included in a “lock down” that prevents access as stipulated by the NSW government.
  • You are from an area that is in “lock down” that prevents you travelling to Jervis Bay.
  • You are, or expect to be, in quarantine or mandatory isolation prior to your arrival date.

 


 

Cleaning

While most property managers are happy with a basic clean between stays, Jervis Bay Rentals have always done full “deep” cleans between guests. This puts us in a very good position to take on the extra requirements that are now expected by our guests.

On top of the thorough clean that is normally done, we will:
– Use Cleaning products that contain ingredients that will kill the coronavirus
– Double check high contact areas (light switches, door handles, hand railings, bench tops, remotes, taps, lock boxes etc) are carefully sanitised
– Ensure our maintenance team wipe down hard surfaces before they leave

We offer a zero contact check-in / check-out process through the use of coded door locks and key lock boxes.

Our experienced cleaners will carry out their cleaning processes to an exacting standard. However, if you’re still concerned we’ll make sure you’ve got all you need to clean to your heart’s content! In every property there will be (where applicable):
– Hand sanitiser
– Surface cleaner (Spray ’n Wipe or similar)
– Hand wash at all basins
– Paper towels and tissues
– A Washing machine and laundry detergent
– A mop and bucket
– A vacuum cleaner

Our procedures are based on the information provided by the relevant authorities and adapted for the holiday rental industry.

Even with all our measures in place we would encourage you to bring cleaning supplies and personal protection equipment that you are comfortable with.  It is important to understand that we can’t sterilize every item that a previous guest may have been in contact with.

If you’re unwell

We don’t want you or any member of your group to feel pressured to travel if you feel there is a chance that you may already be infected with the coronavirus.

If you (or any member of your group) is feeling unwell, please get a Covid-19 test and travel to Jervis Bay only if you test negative for the virus.

Should you test positive for Covid-19, we will issue you with a guest credit so that you can visit once you recover.

It’s up to you

Please be respectful of the locals and ensure you maintain social distancing at all times. This may prove a challenge at times as the area can get quite busy, so we request that you avoid areas that are getting crowded.

Businesses will be open and looking forward to your support. Please be patient as they navigate the restrictions put in place by the NSW government.
